楽しいことが好きです。例えば旅行。日本の47都道府県を一度は訪ねています。外国も30か国ほど行きました。日本は安全で清潔だと言われますが、人権や民主主義では「どうかな？」とも感じます。
私の日本語は平均レベルですが、新聞記者をやっていた時期もあり、一般的に使われる表現や、違和感のある言葉遣いには敏感な方です。「こんな時、日本人ならどう言いますか？」「この使い方は大丈夫ですか？」といった質問は、どうぞ遠慮なく！

I like having fun. For example, travel. I visited all of 47 prefectures in Japan at least once. Also, I went to about 30 foreign countries.
People says that Japan is safe and clean. Often, I wonder if it isn't correct from the standpoint of human rights and democracy.
I think my Japanese to be at an average level. But I am sure, since I used to be the experienced newspaper reporter, I have keen sensibility for proper wording of Japanese. So, I always welcome your questions such as "What would Japanese people say at such times?", and "Is this usage okay?"
